The Poster Session: An Innovative Approach to Knowledge Production and Assessment
Graduate School of Education
The presenters will describe the process and outcomes of asking students to create and present posters in a poster session format for their graduate courses. The presenters will show how using posters and poster sessions is an innovative teaching strategy to demonstrate student learning, and serves as an alternative assessment tool. Students can then be encouraged to apply their experience with the poster session for presentation of scientific work at international conferences. Block С3, Room #2.001
