Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum 2018: Innovating Higher Education in the Age of Disruption

VII annual Eurasian Higher Education Leaders’ Forum will take place on June 7-8, 2018 at Nazarbayev University (Astana, Kazakhstan). The Forum aims to bring together education stakeholders to share their ideas and engage in lively debates on issues that higher education leaders are facing worldwide. This year, we have come up with a series of interesting sessions geared to the theme of “Innovating Higher Education in the Age of Disruption”.


“Create.Innovate.Disrupt.” – an exhibition of the Innovation Cluster of the Nazarbayev University Astana Business Campus

The exhibition of the Innovative cluster Astana Business Campus will demonstrate the experience of Nazarbayev University in developing an innovative eco-system, implemented on the basis of the Technopark of the University. Today in the Cluster projects portfolio there are more than 30 successful startups, innovative projects and projects, commissioned by the industry. All of them will be presented at the exhibition – “Create.Innovate.Disrupt.”

Participants of the EHELF forum will get know the activities of the business incubator and business accelerator, the commercialization office and the infrastructure of Technopark.

Plenary Session

Under the umbrella theme, we are arranging an interactive plenary session with following topics:

  • Innovating higher education against a backdrop of a disruptive age
  • Disruption impacts at Nazarbayev University Schools
  • Role of the University in developing skills and achieving lifetime goals
  • How STEM disciplines are coping with the age of disruption
  • How non-STEM disciplines are coping with the age of disruption
  • Best practices implemented by Universities
  • Conclusion of the forum themes and discussions with further provision of the feedbacks

Conference proceedings

Registration fee

The registration fee is 15 000 KZT, early bird registration fee is 10 000 KZT (available until April 30), and 5000 KZT for students.
