Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum 2017: Governance, Management and Leadership in Higher Education
We are pleased to invite you, your colleagues and the students of your academic institution to attend the 6th Eurasian Higher Education Leaders’ Forum (henceforth, the Forum) that will take place from the 31st of May to the 1st of June, 2017 at Nazarbayev University, Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan. The general theme of the Forum is ‘Governance, Management and Leadership in Higher Education’.
The Forum aims to unite all stakeholders in education by exchanging viewpoints and opinions and by participating in lively debate on issues which face higher education leaders around the world.
The Forum may be of interest to higher education leaders, faculty members, scholars, government bodies, business companies, education associations and organisations and other stakeholders who want to share their ideas, expertise and experience in the field of education.
The Forum Programme includes a conference with participation by internationally recognized experts and workshops on sharing best practices of Nazarbayev University.
The Conference (31 May – 1 June, 2017)
The Conference will connect local and international professionals in the field of education, management and economics. The Conference will comprise five panel sessions aimed at providing a platform for open dialogue so that local and international experts have an opportunity to share practical knowledge and ideas on the following themes:
Models of university autonomy and management
Best practices in higher education management
Role of students in university governance
Sharing best practices of Nazarbayev University (1st June, 2017)
Workshops on sharing Nazarbayev University’s practices will be held on the 1st of June, 2017. The workshops will cover different themes such as 1) relationships between the University and employers and the enhancement of graduate employability; 2) issues of whole-person education at university; 3) issues of quality assurance; 4) workshops by Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education on course design, approaches to teaching and learning and issues of assessment; 5) implementation of corporate governance principles at universities; 6) a workshop on conducting research in social sciences and many more.
Opportunity to have your manuscript published in the Proceedings of the Forum
Conference participants will have an opportunity to have their papers published in the Proceedings of the Forum. Annual proceedings of the Forum are indexed in Thompson Reuters CPCI, ERIC and Google Scholar. The Proceedings are also placed in the open-access Repository of Nazarbayev University. Instructions for authors are available on the Forum’s website at www.ehelf.nu.edu.kz
Registration for attending the Conference is available online. Please visit www.ehelf.nu.edu.kz for registration. The registration fee is 15 000 KZT. The fee covers your access to all panel sessions, conference handouts, coffee breaks and the Gala Reception that will take place on the 31st May at Nazarbayev University.
Students are exempt from payment of the registration fee. The students’ free registration will provide free access only to the panel sessions.
Registration for participation in Nazarbayev University’s workshops on sharing experience is free.
